Commercial Structure Fire
DFD Engine 774 would arrive first due on the commercial fire. Upon arrival Engine 774 would be directed to the Charlie (C) side of the 80,000 square foot structure were crews were met with heavy smoke coming from the building. Sprinkler activation would keep the fire contained to a work shop. Employees state seeing a burst of fire coming from the wall shooting to the ceiling activating the sprinkler system. Engine 772 and Tanker 780 crews would arrive to valve out the sprinkler system. Overhaul was completed by cutting holes into the metal siding of the exterior to check for extension. DFD received mutual aid from Lakeway Central VFD, New Market VFD, Kansas-Talbott VFD and White Pine VFD.
