Commercial Structure Fire
DFD Engine 774 would arrive first due on the commercial fire. Upon arrival Engine 774 would be directed to the Charlie (C) side of the 80,000 square foot structure were crews were met with heavy smoke coming from the building. Sprinkler activation would keep the fire contained to a work shop. Employees state seeing a burst of fire coming from the wall shooting to the ceiling activating the sprinkler system. Engine 772 and Tanker 780 crews would arrive to valve out the sprinkler system. Overhaul was completed by cutting holes into the metal siding of the exterior to check for extension. DFD received mutual aid from Lakeway Central VFD, New Market VFD, Kansas-Talbott VFD and White Pine VFD.

Run No 7 March 8, 2016 1051 hours Working Fire
DFD would be dispatched first due to the report of a residential structure fire with entrapment. Engine 774, Engine 772, Tanker 780 and Support/Rehab 781 would respond. Automatic mutual aid from Lakeway Central Volunteer Fire Department Engine 496 and Tanker 492, White Pine Volunteer Fire Department Truck 1 and Kansas-Talbott Volunteer Fire Department Tanker 887. Jefferson City Fire Department Engine 2 would cover the DFD district.
